Even so, HIV infection is met with an incredible number of prejudices, which means that many people today keep their diagnosis hidden, even from relatives.

Today, Helle is facing a new phase with HIV, and is considering getting older with HIV. She fears being treated differently by staff if one day she is going to a nursing home or is hospitalized.

Pernille is only 19 years old when she is diagnosed with HIV. A disease she as a young woman does not know much about. Even though she is receiving treatment that allows her to live a completely normal and long life like everyone else, she still feels that it is difficult to stand up.
